Wise Gal???

Actually I'm not sure if MyScene Barbie arrived with the Wise Men or the Shepards, I better go check the scriptures again to make sure.

GO Koala's

We had a very busy week at Lynlee's school, first it was Open House, and I can remember how exciting it was to show my mom and dad my desk and all my art work and Lynlee was the same way. They are the Kilpatrick Koalas and I think she did a pretty good job with her koala. That one is refrigerator keeper!
Always into something!!

Next she had a Thanksgiving Party and Regan had to be right in the middle of all of it, luckily Lynlee is a great big sis and is more than happy to have her around and share.

Lynlee is loving Kindergarten and learning so much, we are so proud of her!

Fall Flowers

Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner, and down here in Texas its still in the high 70s low 80s and we are in shorts! So we decided to add a little color to the boring landscape they gave up and plant some fall flowers. I love pansy's but have never planted, because it always gets too cold too fast in Utah. Lynlee did most of the work and when my knees and back were both about to break, Billy came to the rescue to finish the last little planter.

This is what I found when I told Lynlee to go get the hose to give the flowers a drink, she was completely soaked and filling her shoe up with water.

50's Day

I've been running for mom of the year now for awhile, so when a note from school came home on Monday, stating tomorrow, Tuesday was the 50th day of school and all the kids were going to dress in 50's style, what do I do? Well, load up the kiddos and head to JoAnns fabric of course. Luckily I found an old Halloween skirt, I just had to hem a little to fit Lynlee, but we needed a poodle and squence leash to complete the outfit. There were three other moms runnung for mom of the year, buying stuff to make poodle skirts but I beat them all out, while they were waiting to get there fabric cut I grabbed the last poodle patch!!! While having to pull a costume out of nowhere is a huge hassel, Lynlee looked so adorable, and when she came home from school, declaring her teacher, Mrs. O'Neil told her she looked "Precious," makes it all worth it in the end.

Bubbles

Driving to a Halloween party, Billy calls me on the phone because he is meeting us there, while talking to him Regan yells "I want talk papa."

I tell Billy Regan wants to talk and hand her the phone, she say's "hi papa."

Me-"It's not papa(Grandpa or Grandma) it's daddy"

Lynlee from the back sit-"mom some people call their dad's papa"

Me-"yes some people do"

Lynlee-"I think we should start calling our dad BUBBLES"

Me (after cracking up laughing for a few minutes) OKAY!!"

I don't know where they come up with some of these things but my kids our so funny, they make my laugh everyday. Lynlee is just full of personality, I love them to death. I just had to write this one down before I forget.

Oh and spread the word, call Billy Bubbles!!

Spookables

Halloween is one of my favorite time of years, and even though I'm totally missing a Utah fall with the cooler weather and leaves changing, it was fun to dress up and not have to worry about freezing to death. Or wearing your snow coat over your costume!! Lynlee finally decided on a "nice witch" after changing her mind ten times. I was able to seal the deal when I told her she could paint her fingernails black and wear black lipstick.
Regan was the cutest Dora the Explorer ever!! And the costume wouldn't have been complete without "Backpack", surprisingly she wore the entire time. Now to conquer all that candy they got, we went to two trunk-or-treats and trick -or-treating, Billy and I have made a pretty good dent in it, but now there is just the crappy candy left for the kids like Smarty's. We are such nice parents!!

Pumpkin Carving

Another fall tradition checked off the list, carving pumpkins for Halloween, Regan's is just a simple pumpkin face, but what else would the queen of all the disney princress' do but Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. Nothing says Happy Halloween better.

Silly girl!! But our dog Gus did enjoy lots of the pumpkin "guts" the girls kept feeding him.

This one wanted nothing to do with the cleaning out process, she just kept saying EWWW GROSS!!

The Princess pumpkin is pretty cool lit up, the eye and lips are on toothpicks, but during the day it kind of creeps me out and I feel like she watching me!!

New House

This is are brand spankin' new house we love, the Jeep will live right there because we have so much crap that we will only be able to fit one car in the garage, and not everything is bigger in Texas, they have small garages. The rest of the house is pretty bare, we have a huge furniture wish list but moving right before Christmas and having a new baby, we thought the kiddos would rather have presents for them under the tree than a the new dining room table mommy wants! We have a ton a painting to do, the kids rooms are almost done, so far Lynlee's room is Princess pink, Regans is purple and the baby's will be painted sometime soon, green with pink stripes. They all need a few more finishing touches but I will post pics of those soon.

The empty dining room and the stairs going to the second floor, these things are my nemesis everyday as I am Fat!!

Entry way and study, we sold our old desk when we moved here, the computer is on thss ghetto desk we have had forever, so the furniture list has desk on it too. Oh and some rugs!!

I love love love this kitchen, it is huge and there is so much counter space to cook on, the new stove is gas, and I've never cooked on that before. There have been some burnt meals served already but I'm learning.

Breakfast area, this table is actually going in the dining room and I want a new table here, something more "KID FRIENDLY." This table was a pre-kid pruchase and not the best table for homework, there are a lot of Lynlee's name scrathed in it, so we are going to restain it.

Family room right off the kitchen and breackfast area thing, and Billy's pride and joy, the big screen, he wants to put this in the game room and get a smaller TV for here. That is on our five year plan I think, but here is the pretty fireplace I'm sure we will never use in Texas!
Pretty Fancy, I still really miss my house from Idaho, I loved that house so much but we are happy to finally be making some real roots and memories in Texas!!

Let's hear for the Boy!!

Sorry guys no camera yet, so no pics either. But this post is dedicated solely to my wonderful husband. The other night we had some friends for dinner and I made our favorite taco soup. There was plenty of leftovers, so the next day while sitting thinking what to eat for lunch my mouth started watering thinking about the taco soup. I went looking in the fridge to discover it was GONE!! In a complete rage I grabbed the phone and as soon as I heard Billy's voice I started screaming at him, why did you take the rest of my taco soup!! I know there was enough leftover for two or three servings and he took the entire thing for himself. So after a few minutes of telling him how selfish he is and also calling he a very bad name, something a pregnant mother of two should never say his reponse was laughter and "Are you serious."

Of course I was I am almost 8 months pregnant, I needed TACO SOUP!! After we got off the phone, I had to choke down a tuna fish sandwich which was no replacement for my soup. When Billy got home from work I said sorry and gave him a hug and kiss and was forgiven, he told me as soon as he anwsered the phone and heard me screaming he just moved it away from his ear. We had a good laugh, and I feel so bad being such a brat over something so silly. These last few weeks of pregnancy are always the worst and moving hasn't helped out at all. So thanks honey for being a great guy and loving me inspite of all my bad moods. I seriously don't know how he puts up with me and a house full of girls. But I'm sure glad he decides to come home from work everyday. We Love YOU!!

Baby Namey Gamey

I added a poll for fun to see what names everyone likes, pretty sure it will be one of those, although I don't think Billy likes any of them. I love McKenna and Tess, and really love Ruby, but don't want to start a whole R-named family thing, leaving out Lynlee.

So vote for what name you like, there is no prize but if the name you choose happens to be the one we pick, you will have the satifaction to waking up every morning knowing you had a hand in naming the Bowns third child. Good Luck!!

Oh and the middle name is going to be Rose, named after Billy's grandma Bown, named Rosalie. I liked Rosalie but didn't want everyone to assume it was a Twilight obession thing, like I know they would, so just Rose.

Sorry PEEPS!!

I have totally sucked at blogging this summer. I meant to post a bunch of pics from our Utah trip but right after we got home our internet crapped out and we were packing and packing and waiting and waiting to move. So blogging was not really the first thing on my mind. But now we have moved, yea (happy dancing) but I can't seem to find the box with the camera in it. We still have to get our internet hooked-up, I'm bootlegging it off one of the neighbors I don't know that doesn't have a password. So as soon as I find that I can post some pics of the new house, I will. It is huge compared to the "rental" and the stairs are killing my hips, but that's mostly due to being 7 and 1/2 months preggo. Pretty soon I'm going to have to plan my day around only going up and down the stairs once.

In two weeks Billy has a bunch of time off and is planning a nice "staycation" at home, but he doesn't realize how long of a honey do list he has from hanging blinds, cleaning fans, pictures and pretty much painting the entire house, he will be busy, busy! Keep checking back I might post again by the end of the year.

Caged Animals

I seriously looked for this child for five minutes and just as the panic started to rise in my chest that she was once again lost, I heard the dog kennel door start to bang. I walked over to check it out and found Regan and Gus sitting together. What's funny is that we usually put the dogs in the kennel when have done soemthing bad, so I wonder if Regan did something naughty and put herself in a time-out?

It's a......

GIRL!!!
I thought Billy was going to cry when the lady said it. When we got home he said he already knew it was. Lynlee and Regan are super excited, and I can't wait to have a little sister. I was hoping it was a boy, because I know Billy really wants a son, but I am just happy for a healthy baby. It will be a lot cheaper since we only own pink things, and hand-me downs are free!! Now on to the name, I am running out of girl names I like so this one will be difficult, I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Under the Sea

We took a trip to the Aqurium in downtown Houston this week, it was a lot of fun but super hot. The girlies loved seeing all the fish and the little amusment park but we here all so tired from being in this heat down here. They even have four white tigers that we sat and watched forever, but it never even occured to me to take a picture.

In the tank with the Stingrays and baby sharks made Lynlee grouchy, maybe it was just lunchtime?

They had a few rides, a ferris wheel that gave us a great view of the freeway, and the carousel we rode a couple times and yes Billy sat of that alligator everytime!

Happy 4th

Fourth of July is always a fun holiday, this year we went to a BBQ with some friends. This is the awesome fesitive cake the girls and I made. After the BBQ we were treated to a great firework show by our favorite pyro, Billy. We ended the night with red, white and blue glowsticks and we were lucky this year neither of the kids got burned, mostly because I wouldn't let them anywhere near the sparklers. But we hope everyone had a great holiday.

Trophy Husband

Hands OFF ladies, he's all mine! During our family photos, Billy decided to have his own private photo session, don't think this is the only pose either, I think there is two or three to choose from. I love him so much, and he cracks me up everyday, I can never stay mad at him. He is the best dad the girls worship him, but I truly feel bad for them when they become teenagers, he is going to embarrass the heck out of them. He is probably going to kill me when he sees this post!

We're a Happy FAMILY!

After I found out I was pregnant I knew I wanted to get our family picture taken, first because we haven't take one since last November and Regan was a baby, and second I wanted to get one before I got fat. These are just a few of my favs, and it really is difficult to get a piture were everyone is smiling, eyes open and looking at the camera.

Another Birthday Girl

June is a busy birthday month, Regan's is the 19th and Lynlee's is the 30th. So Lynlee really wanted her birthday at Chuck E Cheese's, and I really didn't want to have anything at my small bug infested house so off we went for a fun b-day party.

Regan just is so funny, she sat on this little merry-go-round the entire party, other kids kept coming to ride it and put the tokens in and she just sat there. I don't think I every put any money in for her to ride. Way to save us money Regan!
We had a fun time and thanks to all our friends for helping us celebrate. Happy 5th Birthday Lynlee!

Regan Turns 2!

So our little Regan turned 2 years old!! We had a little party for her with a few friends. Yes I made this awesome butterfly cake, and it looked better before the birthday girl stuck her hand in it. She got a lot of fun gifts, that she loves. We love her so much and she is such sweetheart, and fun addition to our family. Billy calls her a little tornado, because she just walks around all day destroying anything in her path. When she does get in trouble she just has to flash that adorable smile and she gets out of anything. Happy Birthday Regs!!

Throw-up, Visits & SUMMER!!

It has been a long time, as most people already know we are expected baby #3 due in Nov. So I was struck down with a nasty case of all day morning sickness, and basically the only thing I have been doing is making a permanat butt print in the couch. Being too tired to want to get on the computer and too sick to go anywhere exicting enough to take pictures no blogging was done. But now I'm half way through month number 4 and feeling much better, still tired but that's only from trying to keep up with two little active girls.

Over Memorial Day weekend, my mom and dad came down for a visit, and we had a fun time with them. Unforunately Billy had to work everyday they were here, so he missed out on the SpaceCenter, Build-a-Bear and, swimming. He did however, get to partake of the good resteraunts my parents treated us too, so everyone was happy. We had a blast and for a week after they left Regan just wandered around the house yelling PAPA!! Wanting him to chase her or tickle, something the kids know grandpa is the best at. (Sorry no pics, our internet on the computer is not working, so we are just using the laptop and I have no pics on here)

Our house has finally been started!! They are telling us a move-in time of Sept./Oct., the sooner the better, as my growing belly will only allow me to do some much packing and unpacking. Lynlee finished preschool and was sad to say good-bye to here teacher Ms. Linda but is really excited for kindergarten next year. As for me I know I'm not ready to let her go yet, but know she will have a great time.

Well thats basically the happenings in a nutshell, we have a lot of fun things coming up this summer, both kiddos b-days, and Billy turning 30! ballet camps, and lots of swimming. And a huge road trip in August back to the Promised Land of Utah to visit family and friends. Not to mention whether or not the girls will have a little brother or sister?? Sorry to keep all my readers up at night wondering what is going on the with the Bowns, I'll try to be better.

Safety First

Playing outside today, Regan walked up to me with Lynlee's helment already on and handed me the knee guards, even though she can't ride a bike yet, she'll be ready, in about 4 years, when she'll be tall enough to reach the pedals.

Easter Festivities

Some pics of dying Easter eggs and the baskets the Easter bunny and Gramdma left the girls. They are so spoiled, Billy asked me when Easter became the second Christmas. But they loved every thing, and coloring eggs was fun, Regan broke three eggs before we wised up and distracted her with some crayons.
We had a lot of fun Easter Sunday, Billy and I had to speak in Sacrament meeting, which was a great blessing because it made us both really remember the reason we celebrate Easter. And how blessed we for the Savior, and his Resurrection. Billy did an amazing job, I was so proud of him. After church we went to dinner at our friends the Gleasons' a had an awesome feast. We were all stuffed. Sorry, I was totally nervous all day about my talk, and forgot to take pics of the girls in their adorable Easter dresses. But it was a great day.
