EGGravaganza

We braved the Katy Easter Egg Hunt again this year minus dad, because he had to work. He told me when we left, "Please don't lose one of the children." I wanted to slap him but didn't. The girls had a fun time and I was able to keep track of everyone. The girls saw the Easter Bunny, Regan thought he was a little sketchy, so no smile from her.

They wanted to go into the petty zoo, so bad but the line was super long and my allergies were going crazy. I'm such a mean mom and they just had to stand at the gate and look in.

There were 10,000 eggs in each age group area, they had pretty crappy toys and a few candy, in the eggs, but some had tickets that you could turn in for prizes. Lynlee scored 3 tickets and they got some sidewalk chalk, a bubble wand and a kite. All in all we had a fun time.

Zoo Day

Lynlee went to the Zoo on friday with her class, Billy was one of the chaparones, and they had a great daddy/daughter day together. Billy took about a million pictures, so these are just some of the highlights.

Hammin' it up as usual!!

These are a few of her little girl friends, they are all sweethearts.

Out with the Old

We finally got a our new kitchen table, and it looks awesome, we love it! Next we need to tackle all the painting, the kitchen is going to be a light gold color, and I found this delish fabric that will match pretty good. I made curtains the other day, we are also going to put a beadboard and chair rail in the kitchen. Our old kitchen table is now in the formal dining room, and it is awaiting a much needed makeover, sanding and painting. That room also needs some paint, blue & chocolate brown!! I'm going for a french country look with cream furniture, we'll see how it turns out. Billy has some MAJOR projects coming up in the back yard, 12 yards of concrete so the inside will have to wait a little bit longer.

Daisy Awards

On Sunday Lynlee had her Daisy Investiture, fancy word for awards, and she earned her daisy petal. Each petal represents a different value Lynlee has demonstrated. She worked really hard on all of them, and is loving Daisy's.
Lynlee's troop and there is Regan trying to be in the middle of it all.

Fashion Statement

Not really sure what kind of statement she is trying to make but its a cute one!

Spring Break Camp-Out

This past week Lynlee was out of school for spring break, we got invited by two different families to go camping but couldn't go because Billy had to work, so we decided to have our own camp-out in the dining room. We are losers and couldn't even go outside, I said let's open the window so it feels like we're outside, and both the girls freaked out. What can I say they are "indoor" girls, and who am I kidding, I am too. The only reason we went camping a lot when we lived in Utah and Idaho is because we had our trailer. Anyways Billy and the girls roughed it in the tent and I slept in my nice warm bed because McKenna was sick.

No one in this family knows how to take a normal smiling picture, what are you doing Billy??

Busy Busy Week

We started out this week with Lynlee having strep throat, she had a speedy recovery and never even really acted sick, she stayed home from school 2 days and then on Wednesday brought home her star of the week poster home. She was star of the week in her class last week, but in our usual rush out the door mornings I forgot to take a picture of it. We put tons of photos on it and it had a list of some of her favorite things, food-hot dog, which is news to me, color-red/pink, book-Pinkaicious.
This baby is so sweet and getting big way to fast!! Almost 4 months old already.

Then on Friday morning I was packing up a box to send to Billy's family and Regan was helping with the tape, I got up to get the Sharpie marker and write the address and I could hear the scissors cutting, I asked "Hey what are you doing." Response, "I cut myhair mom." She did a pretty good chop job on the side, there were some pieces cut way above her ear, so it was off the get a haircut.

She now has a cute little bob, her hair grows so fast I really wasn't that mad, I just hope she never does it again, but I'm guessing she will. The lady at Great Clips did a horrible job and I'm sure Regan herself could have done better, but she still is my little cutie.

Rodeo Houston

The Houston Livestock and Rodeo is in town and we went with our friends the Zollingers. We had a fun time checking out all the animals, booths and PIGGING OUT!! Nothing beats some good ole' carni food. Turkey legs, funnel cakes, cotton candy, and corn on the cob all for the low price next months paycheck!

The girls and their friend Ashlyn got the there faces painted. I'm thinking of starting a booth next year with my new found face painting skills from Lynlee's kinder rodeo, and the fact that they charged $6.oo a person, Cha Ching!!

Seeing all the animals was the highlight for both of them, the petted the sheep, pigs, and some rabbits, it was a really fun time as a family.

This Place is a ZOO

We surprised Lynlee on friday after picking her up from school, with a trip to PetsMart and she got to pick out her very own fish. This was a reward for all the hard work she has been doing at school and the awesome report card she brought home. This is Sunny the fish, its a boy but Lynlee calls it a girl but it really doesn't matter. He lives in her room and she loves it!

Teacher Appreciation Warmer

This going to be the warmer of the month for April and it is so cute, and with teacher appreciation and the end of the school coming up soon this would make a prefect gift!!

I Need A Dollar

Last nights dinner conversation went as follows:

Me-"Lynlee who do you like better, Mom or Dad?"

Lynlee-"Mommy"

Billy-" Regan who do you like better mommy or daddy"

Regan- "Mommy"

Me- Laughing and saying "Ha Ha Ha"

Billy-"Lynlee who do you like better mommy or daddy and if you say dad I'll give you a dollar"

Lynlee-"Daddy!"

Then Lynlee leans over to me a whispers- "Mom you're still my favorite, I just really need a dollar!!"
