Mardi Gras

Roadtrip!!

This past weekend we took a roadtrip to New Orleans, we did tons of fun things and met up with our BFF's The Bybees, who were also down visiting family. Our first adveture was the aquarium which the girls loved, its right by the water and there are losts of things to see, Regan wouldn't stop yelling "WOW". Next we took a Swamp Tour, which was the highlight of the trip, it was on the this big boat guided through the bayou. Our guide was super funny and I could hardly understand anything he was saying . He was a local and lived where the tour launched and loved alligator, he rasies them himself and then when they get old enough he releases them into the wild. He had one on the boat and let everyone hold it, Lynlee first and then Regan, Billy got his turn but I didn't even want it by me, I know I'm a chicken. We saw lots of wild alligators, turtles, and birds too. The next day we drove up to Madsionville, a hour north of the city, to met Bryce & Becky. There we went to a Mradi Gras Boat Parade. I never in my life thought it would be fun to stand around trying to get bead necklaces but we had a blast and got tons of necklaces. It was a awesome family trip and New Orleans is a beautiful city with lots of history and fun things to do.

They showed a lot of skin to get this many beads!!

Zoo Day

So on Monday was President's Day and the Houston Zoo was free, so we braved the crowds and went with some friends. It was such a nice day and the Houston Zoo is awesome. The girls loved the monkeys, elephants, giarffes, tigers and most all the animals, they weren't sure about the reptile house or the giant komodo dragon. But all in all it was a great day.

They loved riding the carousel and Regan threw a huge fit when she had to get off

I promise this picture is not staged, she was really really scared and didn't want to get any closer to it even though the glass was between her and the lizard

I love hanging out my girls and we always have so much fun

Planting Flowers in February!??!

Living in Utah and Idaho we planted flowers around Mother's Day
and last years because it was so cold we didn't plant them until after June but now living in Texas we are planting them in February. Lynlee did most of the work and even picked out the pink flowers.

Daddy's Little Men

I think the estrogen in this house
just gets to be too much for Billy.
Lynlee put on dads "boy" shoes
and baseball hat a was pretending
to be a boy. Saying "whats-up" in
a deep voice, made us all laugh. And
Regan always has to get in on the fun,
pretending to be Billy Jr.
