Fall Flowers

Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner, and down here in Texas its still in the high 70s low 80s and we are in shorts! So we decided to add a little color to the boring landscape they gave up and plant some fall flowers. I love pansy's but have never planted, because it always gets too cold too fast in Utah. Lynlee did most of the work and when my knees and back were both about to break, Billy came to the rescue to finish the last little planter.

This is what I found when I told Lynlee to go get the hose to give the flowers a drink, she was completely soaked and filling her shoe up with water.

50's Day

I've been running for mom of the year now for awhile, so when a note from school came home on Monday, stating tomorrow, Tuesday was the 50th day of school and all the kids were going to dress in 50's style, what do I do? Well, load up the kiddos and head to JoAnns fabric of course. Luckily I found an old Halloween skirt, I just had to hem a little to fit Lynlee, but we needed a poodle and squence leash to complete the outfit. There were three other moms runnung for mom of the year, buying stuff to make poodle skirts but I beat them all out, while they were waiting to get there fabric cut I grabbed the last poodle patch!!! While having to pull a costume out of nowhere is a huge hassel, Lynlee looked so adorable, and when she came home from school, declaring her teacher, Mrs. O'Neil told her she looked "Precious," makes it all worth it in the end.

Bubbles

Driving to a Halloween party, Billy calls me on the phone because he is meeting us there, while talking to him Regan yells "I want talk papa."

I tell Billy Regan wants to talk and hand her the phone, she say's "hi papa."

Me-"It's not papa(Grandpa or Grandma) it's daddy"

Lynlee from the back sit-"mom some people call their dad's papa"

Me-"yes some people do"

Lynlee-"I think we should start calling our dad BUBBLES"

Me (after cracking up laughing for a few minutes) OKAY!!"

I don't know where they come up with some of these things but my kids our so funny, they make my laugh everyday. Lynlee is just full of personality, I love them to death. I just had to write this one down before I forget.

Oh and spread the word, call Billy Bubbles!!

Spookables

Halloween is one of my favorite time of years, and even though I'm totally missing a Utah fall with the cooler weather and leaves changing, it was fun to dress up and not have to worry about freezing to death. Or wearing your snow coat over your costume!! Lynlee finally decided on a "nice witch" after changing her mind ten times. I was able to seal the deal when I told her she could paint her fingernails black and wear black lipstick.
Regan was the cutest Dora the Explorer ever!! And the costume wouldn't have been complete without "Backpack", surprisingly she wore the entire time. Now to conquer all that candy they got, we went to two trunk-or-treats and trick -or-treating, Billy and I have made a pretty good dent in it, but now there is just the crappy candy left for the kids like Smarty's. We are such nice parents!!

Pumpkin Carving

Another fall tradition checked off the list, carving pumpkins for Halloween, Regan's is just a simple pumpkin face, but what else would the queen of all the disney princress' do but Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. Nothing says Happy Halloween better.

Silly girl!! But our dog Gus did enjoy lots of the pumpkin "guts" the girls kept feeding him.

This one wanted nothing to do with the cleaning out process, she just kept saying EWWW GROSS!!

The Princess pumpkin is pretty cool lit up, the eye and lips are on toothpicks, but during the day it kind of creeps me out and I feel like she watching me!!

New House

This is are brand spankin' new house we love, the Jeep will live right there because we have so much crap that we will only be able to fit one car in the garage, and not everything is bigger in Texas, they have small garages. The rest of the house is pretty bare, we have a huge furniture wish list but moving right before Christmas and having a new baby, we thought the kiddos would rather have presents for them under the tree than a the new dining room table mommy wants! We have a ton a painting to do, the kids rooms are almost done, so far Lynlee's room is Princess pink, Regans is purple and the baby's will be painted sometime soon, green with pink stripes. They all need a few more finishing touches but I will post pics of those soon.

The empty dining room and the stairs going to the second floor, these things are my nemesis everyday as I am Fat!!

Entry way and study, we sold our old desk when we moved here, the computer is on thss ghetto desk we have had forever, so the furniture list has desk on it too. Oh and some rugs!!

I love love love this kitchen, it is huge and there is so much counter space to cook on, the new stove is gas, and I've never cooked on that before. There have been some burnt meals served already but I'm learning.

Breakfast area, this table is actually going in the dining room and I want a new table here, something more "KID FRIENDLY." This table was a pre-kid pruchase and not the best table for homework, there are a lot of Lynlee's name scrathed in it, so we are going to restain it.

Family room right off the kitchen and breackfast area thing, and Billy's pride and joy, the big screen, he wants to put this in the game room and get a smaller TV for here. That is on our five year plan I think, but here is the pretty fireplace I'm sure we will never use in Texas!
Pretty Fancy, I still really miss my house from Idaho, I loved that house so much but we are happy to finally be making some real roots and memories in Texas!!

Let's hear for the Boy!!

Sorry guys no camera yet, so no pics either. But this post is dedicated solely to my wonderful husband. The other night we had some friends for dinner and I made our favorite taco soup. There was plenty of leftovers, so the next day while sitting thinking what to eat for lunch my mouth started watering thinking about the taco soup. I went looking in the fridge to discover it was GONE!! In a complete rage I grabbed the phone and as soon as I heard Billy's voice I started screaming at him, why did you take the rest of my taco soup!! I know there was enough leftover for two or three servings and he took the entire thing for himself. So after a few minutes of telling him how selfish he is and also calling he a very bad name, something a pregnant mother of two should never say his reponse was laughter and "Are you serious."

Of course I was I am almost 8 months pregnant, I needed TACO SOUP!! After we got off the phone, I had to choke down a tuna fish sandwich which was no replacement for my soup. When Billy got home from work I said sorry and gave him a hug and kiss and was forgiven, he told me as soon as he anwsered the phone and heard me screaming he just moved it away from his ear. We had a good laugh, and I feel so bad being such a brat over something so silly. These last few weeks of pregnancy are always the worst and moving hasn't helped out at all. So thanks honey for being a great guy and loving me inspite of all my bad moods. I seriously don't know how he puts up with me and a house full of girls. But I'm sure glad he decides to come home from work everyday. We Love YOU!!
