Kinder Rodeo

The Houston Livestock and Rodeo are heading to town in the couple week so Lynlee's school had a Kinder Rodeo, they lassoed, rode some ponies, had sack races and face painting. Lynlee in her Western wear, can we say "Pinkalicious!"
I was one of the volunteers and they assigned my to face painting, I think I found a new hidden talent, but one of the little boys said his painted hat didn't look like a hat (it really didn't, it looked more like a big blue blob). But Lynlee got a star, and had a great time.

Lynlee little friend Ashlyn, they do everything together!

Carseat Canopies

When I had McKenna I made one of these things I saw from someone elses blog, I just made up the pattern and it turned out really cute. Since having her it seems every place I go someone comes up to me and asks "where did you get that cover?" And then someone in Lynlee's dance class asked if I would make one for them, so I've made a few and sold them on e-bay, and they have been doing really well. I've started a blog to showcase all the ones I made so far, I'm still finishing 4 and will post more pics. They work great, and make a great gift, so if you are in need of one keep me in mind!

Chub Club

As I remember Lynlee was a little chunky when she was little but Regan has always been teeny tiny. This is are little McKenna and all her healthy rolls. At her 2 month check-up she weighed in at 13 lbs, and was in the 95th percentile. Regan isn't even on the charts, she only weighs 23 lbs, and she's almost 3! But we are glad McKenna is a happy healthy girl, and love every roll.

Valentine's Fun

These pictures went out of order and I can't get them to go back the right way, but anyway, Valentine's weekend was a lot of fun. Billy had to work, but he did leave these heart aprons and a candy heart for the girls to find when they woke up.

Lynlee had her Valentine's party at school, this is her class and then a pic of her checking out all her goodies she scored.

We then braved church minus dad, which is always scary with three little kids, but I did manage to scrap to together a heart/red/pink outfit for each girl to wear. They looked so cute. Hope everyone had a great Valentine's.

Puppy Love

Oops!!

Lynlee's teacher sends out "oops" notes when the kids behaviour has been less than prefect. Usually it has a explanation of what the oops was and that tomorrow they can work extra hard to have a better day. Lynlee is just my little social butterfly and gets an oops note probably ever other day, mostly for talking but here are a few of my favorites:

-crawling on the floor and acting like a dog in the hallway

-standing on the toilet and talking to the girl in next stall

-throwing french fries in the lunch room

-hitting/kicking other kids

-showing her underwear

We have tried to make an appropriate punishment for all these oops, like hitting another kid, she had to write an apology letter, or throwing food, she wasn't allowed to buy her lunch for one week like the cool kids. But yesterday she came home with a note that said she pushed a kid down in the hall. I asked what happened and she is always honest about what happened and went into the this story about the other kid was walking backwards and Lynlee ran up and scared him and he fell down. Billy then asked "why did you scare him," and Lynlee was getting more and more upset and said the typical answer "I don't know." After threatening a time-out she finally yelled, "I was just pretending to be a vampire and he tripped over his feet because I am so scary!"

After she told us that we both started cracking up laughing, what do we do now. I wish there was some kind of parenting instruction book to help us out but we are on our own. So the punishment was yet again something I never thought I would have to say, "Don't act like a vampire and scare kids in your class." Lynlee response "Okay Mommy"

My Life Would Suck Without You

The entire time I was pregnant, I was scared to death of this third kid, but now that she is here I can't imagine our family without our McKenna Rose. She is the sweetest little heaven sent spirit, she hardly ever cries and is just so mellow, and easy going. So here are some adorable pics of my newest little angel.

Love this smile that greets me ever morning!!

100th day of School

I don't know who thinks this crap up, but for Lynlee's 100th day of school she had to think of something she collects and then find a "creative" way to wear 100 of them!! Honestly I don't have the time, but she was excited about it. We went back and forth, with 100 stickers, bows, all kinds of ideas and settled on a smiley face t-shrit. She has 99 smiles on her shirt and them I told her she had to walk around with a smileon her face all day to make 100. Her response "mom that's silly!" But here's a pic of the 100 smiles.

McKenna's Blessing

Just few weeks ago Billy's parents came down for a visit and we also had McKenna's blessing. She is so sweet and good and didn't make a sound. Billy did an awesome job and has given all of the girls great baby blessings. We had a fun time with Grandma and Grandpa Bown, we visited the NASA Spacecenter and the Houston Zoo, and we all ate way too much good food. We have had so many visitors and the girls keep asking me how's coming next.

A Lot of Ketchup Please!!

Wow the last few months have flown by and without internet we couldn't update everyone on all the things that have been going on so here it is in a nutshell:After a very scary night and my most difficult delivery baby McKenna Rose Bown, joined our family, weighing 7lbs 7oz, 21in. born Dec. 1, 2009 at 6:16 am.

The girls adore her and she is just the sweetest little baby. Aunt Mari was here visiting when McKenna was born, and was a huge blessing, she helped with everything! Soon after Mari left my mom came down and the girls loved having Grandma here.
By Christmas we were all alone and trying to find a new normal. The kids had a great Christmas and have been enjoying there new bikes, a blowup castle thing and lots of games and clothes.

McKenna got some diapers and wipes from Santa, he knew just what she wanted. And this was the greatest gift Billy and I could ask for!
